Yes No Select a description: ACT Prep Workshop The Get2College VR App Implementation is intended to support work with students who are exploring college options. Visiting a college campus may be possible for many students, but for low-income and rural students, a campus visit is out of reach. This app was developed to “transport” students to universities and community colleges across Mississippi, thereby reducing the barrier of time, cost, and distance. The 360 videos produce a feeling of being immersed in the environment, a key element of making a college choice. The app also provides key information students need to make a college choice suited to their needs, interests, and plans for the future. Adolescence is a time when students are exploring many options for their future. The app provides an opportunity to explore college options on their own. Took students to visit a college campus. Assisted students created the FSA ID for the FAFSA Assisted 12th grade students complete college admission applications. We attended a college fair. We spoke to students individually about college knowledge, financial aid, and the GEAR UP scholarship. Helped students complete the Mississippi aid application to apply for the HELP grant and GEAR UP scholarship We assisted students and parents complete the FAFSA and Mississippi aid application Virtual FAFSA Day College Preparation Presentation (in-person) covering college search, ACT prep, college application requirements, and comprehensive financial aid information.
